Call me a weirdo but I love cookies much more than cake or ice-cream. Seriously!
That said, as much as I like cookies, I don't really eat store-bought cookies very often. It is fairly obvious that good quality ingredients and the perfect recipe make great tasting cookies but the two don't always exist simultaneously. I prefer to bake cookies myself which I do on a regular basis. That's when they are fresh, warm, buttery and so divine. Well, if that makes me somewhat of a cookie snob then so be it!
I usually like most flavours of cookies that I have come across (well, maybe not durian cookies) but I am partial to traditional combinations such as chocolate chip, white chocolate and macadamia nut, peanut butter, gingersnaps and oatmeal-raisin cookies. I have certain specifications when it comes to cookies. I like large and chunky cookies which have a chewy yet soft texture and in case of chocolate-based cookies, I expect them to be fully loaded (otherwise what's the point, right?).
I was recently sent a box of assorted cookies from Adam's Cookies Singapore in exchange for an honest review. Initially I was only going to post my feedback of the cookies on my social media handles but the cookies were so good that I felt the need to do an independent blog post so it can reach more people.
Sharing is caring, is it not?
Adam's Cookies is an online cookie bakery started by hobby baker Adam Neale. He developed his love for cooking and baking from his mother and grandmother. With a long-standing love for cookies dating back to his childhood, he decided to create his own cookies after not being able to find that dreamy cookie - a soft and chewy cookies loaded with chocolate.
Adam's Cookies Singapore offers a variety of cookies to choose from,
The "Cookie" - original chocolate chip cookies
The "DC Cookie" - original cookie but with double chocolate
The "OMG" - 200% more chocolate drops than the original cookie
The "DC OMG" - like the OMG but double chocolate
The "CO" - a chocolate orange flavoured cookie with both milk and dark chocolate
The "Chloe" - cookies with raspberries and white chocolate
The "S'morke" - inspired by the classic S'more with graham crackers, marshmallow and milk chocolate
There are two sizes available - Box of 6 or 12. If you are not sure what to get, you could get "The Everything Box" which comes with 2 OMG, 2 DC OMG, 2 CO, 2 Chloe, 2 S'morke, 1 The Cookie and 1 DC Cookie.
Gluten-free options are available too.
There is a $15 delivery charge applicable island-wide but there is the option of self-collection that is free of charge.
Here's the thing - I obviously haven't tasted all the cookies in Singapore so I cannot say if these are the best cookies out there. But what I will tell you is that these cookies are precisely the way I like my cookies to look and taste. They are large, chunky, chewy yet soft with just the right amount of sweetness AND fully loaded. You could tell that the cookies were fresh and made with good quality ingredients (there are no artificial colors or flavorings used). I received the nicely packed box of cookies on a Saturday morning and they were all gone by the end of the day. My kids absolutely LOVED them. My personal favourites were the OMG, the DC OMG and the S'morke Cookies. The Chloe had a very nice flavor combination of the raspberries and white chocolate but they were softer in texture and less chewy compared to the other cookies.
Would I consider ordering these cookies myself. YES ABSOLUTELY.
So if you are considering gifting someone a box of cookies, do consider Adam's Cookies Singapore. They have my stamp of approval. Right now, they have a Covid Cookie sale going on which gives you 25% off for all cookies.
You're welcome!
